The exotic market takes place every Saturday morning at Theaterplein. It starts at 8am but unlike most markets it stays put till 4pm so if you want to sleep in, you can!

The market is a big favorite with the locals. Many gather to browse the stands in search of special ingredients, a good deal on vegetables or just to grab something to eat.

You'll find a huge variety of food & drink stands ranging from hamburgers, Moroccan pancakes, coffee & tea, oysters & champagne, churros to Vietnamese egg rolls, (almost) all excellent options to cure your hang over or start the day with a bang! Not feeling too hungry yet? There are plenty of option to shop for foods to take home; Greek and French cheeses, Moroccan nuts & olives, fresh made pastas, ... or just buy a vegetable package (budget friendly!). A few tips: try the pad thai (€6) or get a cheese burger (€3) and if you want to surprise someone special or just bright up your house, buy a beautiful bouquet of flowers (a lot cheaper than in store!)

The market is a great start for the weekend and located in a fun neighborhood (close to the shopping streets). If you want to sit down for lunch and just take in the vibe, head on over to Barnini,  Perruche or the Kleine Bourla.
