Music for Life is back and so are the Street Art for Life tours. On Saturday November 30, you can discover the hidden world of Antwerp’s graffiti scene. A two-hour walk will take you along artsy streets you’ve never seen before. And let’s be honest, nothing’s better than supporting a good cause at the same time. Get ready to explore some hidden gems.

Music For Life, since 2013 known as De Warmste Week, is a yearly campaign by national radio station Studio Brussel. This solidarity movement encourages people to spread love and to support a charity where they believe in. With this period ahead of us, many Belgians are now creating their own initiative to raise money for those in need. Street Art Antwerp stands up for what they believe in and like to promote their city and local artists in an atypical way.

This year, Street Art for Life tour supports Te Gek!?, an initiative that wants to bring mental health up for discussion in Flanders. One in four Belgians battle with their mental well-being. Not only does it affect others but ourselves, our children, parents, family, friends, neighbors and acquaintances as well. This Belgian project wants to break that threshold by striving for more awareness towards psychological problems.

If your curiosity starts to strike, don’t wait any longer. This Saturday at 12 o’clock, the Street Art for Life tour meets at the Rubenshuis. Departing from Berchem station, we walk towards the Zomerfabriek where the immersive experience of Antwerp’s urban culture begins. Starting from Antwerp Central Station, it is only a 10-minute walk along the Meir. The tour ends at 2 p.m. at the Groenplaats.

Participation is free and afterward you can donate a free amount to Te Gek!?’s fund. All proceeds go entirely to Music for Life. If you're interested, you can register your attendance here. . But don’t worry art lovers, in case you can’t attend this tour you can still register to walk along on three other walks in December. Find out more here

If you just can’t wait until the 30th of November to check out some cool graffiti, make sure to catch a glimpse of the city’s street art at Street Art Antwerp's channels or their Street Art Cities app. Stay tuned to read the tour's full report next week.
