Meet “De Kringwinkel”: Antwerp’s local thrift shops filled with one-of-a-kind local treasures to spice up your wardrobe, kitchen or living room.

Oh that Macklemore, I couldn’t say it better than he did: “I'm gonna pop some tags. Only got twenty dollars in my pocket. I - I - I'm hunting, looking for a come-up. This is f*cking awesome”.

Agreed, sometimes you gotta be lucky... but the fact you have to search a little bit harder to find something that fits your style makes a good find even more satisfying. And, in the end, who would say no to a nice pair of pumps for a mere € 3.5 or cute vintage pottery for € 0.5 a piece - even when when the colors don’t exactly match your interior or wardrobe - nobody, right?

100% Belgian, 100% unique

Look through all the stuff we belgians left behind and pick up a truly local souvenir. In the words of Macklemore: “One man's trash, that's another man's come-up”. Keep in mind that “the collection” can change quickly so if you’re in the country a bit longer than a weekend it can be worthwhile to stick around and jump in a few days later as well to check on newly arrived goods.

Temporary Retro Action

The thrift shops are worth a visit 365 days a year, but on some occasions your chance to score a true gem are just a big higher. Take a marker and put a big red circle around Saturday the 16th of March for a special Retro Action. All the different shops collect the best items weeks up front and put them all in store on the same day. Be there!
