MOMU - Couture in Colour: Silk & Prints From the Abraham Archives

MOMU recaptures and expands on the exhibition ‘Soie Pirate: The Abraham Textile Archive Zurich’ organized by the Swiss national museum in Zurich. The exhibition starts the 12th of March with an opening reception and lasts for two months. Not only will the museum show silhouettes of former couture labels, contemporary designers such as Dries Van Noten experimented with these prints as well. Find out what his impression looks like from the 12th on.

Cartoon’s cinema – Paradise: faith

Cartoon’s always seems to show movies straight from the rare-and-undiscovered-pearls-park. The second episode of the trilogy Paradise shows an enigmatic picture of religious fanaticism. The german movie is due on the 13th of Februar. The third part of the triptych, Paradise: hope, will be released on the 1st of May.

Café Mombasa – Live funk/soul

Farther up north you can find several cafés where regulars keep one’s chair warm in between 2pm and 7pm. Café Mombasa has find the middle between local 50 something men and juvenile girls and boys. On Sunday the small stage is occupied by Time=Tight. Since defining their audience is not exactly possible, we do expect everybody to be there at 8pm.

TRIX – Killing Joke

The British rock/post-punk/new wave band is coming to Antwerp, on the 18th of March to music centre Trix to be exact. Soon they will release their compilation cd ‘The Singles Collection 1979-2012’ and that calls for a retrospect oldschool performance. Party with Killing Joke, Monday 18th.
