Omar Souleyman started out as a Syrian wedding singer and created a league of his own. After booking crazy successes with singles like Wenu Wenu and Warni Warni, collaborating with artists like Björk and Four Tet and touring the world, his mix of Arabic dabke and electro got noticed by big festivals like Pitchfork Paris, Glastonbury and Pukkelpop.
He drops by Antwerp to present his third album, To Syria, With Love.
Aftershow by Antwerp's Borokov Borokov (techno, punk, performance art). Phoenician Drive (Brussels, think traditional African & Middle East tunes on LSD, mixed with kraut rock) drops by as well.
Driftbui will spin records before and after as well.
THIS. WILL. BE. A. NIGHT. TO. REMEMBER.
